  • Co-Founder

Heather’s career in trauma was seeded as a teenager when her mom’s best friend got her a job in the ER at Children’s Hospital Oakland as a ward clerk (she owns the nepo baby status). Working nights at CHO with the rotating residents from the neighboring adult trauma center, Highland Hospital, she was blown away by the endless stories and decided that was her future.

Almost two decades later, Heather has worked as a bedside ED nurse at Highland, then as a performance improvement specialist and a trauma program manager. She has worked as a trauma site reviewer for Washington state, a trauma consultant for both developing and established trauma centers, and a TNCC instructor and course director.

BayTLC is a passion project for Heather— the culmination of many years of hard work and joyful networking.
